Hello world!

Hey there, thanks for checking out my website. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you. My name is Haley and I am from Virginia in the USA. I had the urge to create this blog a couple months into my traveling, in order to share my experiences with my friends and family (also so my parents know I am still alive!) The idea of traveling around the world sparked a fire within me at a very young age, I’ve always known that goal is the one I would strive for, for the rest of my life. This is my ultimate dream, my “Personal Legend,” if you will. After a year into my studies at San Diego State University, I realized that was not the life I imagined myself living. I knew I needed my degree, even if I just folded it up and put it in my pocket for a rainy day, I needed it. So I decided to do things a little differently, living a lifestyle that allowed me to nomad around to whatever part of the world I wanted, while still earning credits. I am not following the standard path that society accepts so easily, but that path does not always lead you to your dreams. I have an enormous passion for other cultures, new people, and exotic experiences. A passion that would keep me up at night, searching for any and every way to achieve this. While still in the process of receiving my college education (slow and steady wins the race), I choose to spend my time in areas that are not so familiar with me. I could not be happier with my decision, and I can truly say I am living the life I have always dreamed of.  I have created this blog to document my journey and hopefully inspire other people to go after their dreams no matter how unique and unfeasible they may seem.
